NEW: CONNECTION TO THE DATEV DATA SERVICE
The direct line between Personizer and your tax advisor
Handle eAU retrieval directly in Personizer. The health insurance provider makes the notification available digitally; Personizer processes the response and records it in a traceable way. This saves time, reduces errors and makes deadlines easier to manage.
- Secure data exchange via the DATEV data services into the DATEV Lohnwelt payroll system.

Sickness notification without detours
Easily retrieve the status and proof of the eAU from the health insurance fund via an interface – legally compliant, audit-proof and without any media breaks. This keeps the payroll run plannable, even when absences occur at short notice.
eAU in everyday work: fast, legally compliant, transparent
What it helps you solve
Sickness notifications are handled without any paperwork. You start the retrieval in the tool, receive the response from the health insurance fund and can see at any time what has been reported. This keeps the payroll run plannable, even when absences occur at short notice.

How it works in practice
The doctor reports the incapacity for work to the health insurance fund. The employer retrieves the eAU electronically. Personizer documents the response in a traceable way for HR and accounting.

Why Personizer is reliable here
Retrieval follows the official process within the DATEV world. The data service handles validation and provides clear reasons for the responses, which you can see in the system.

Your benefits with the DATEV data services
For HR and accounting
Your day-to-day advantge
The eAU responses are stored centrally in Personizer instead of in emails and folders. This eliminates duplicate maintenance and ensures that all information is available in a consistent way. You save time in the payroll run because there are fewer follow-up questions.
Planning reliability
Because retrieval is a mandatory process and the health insurance fund provides the data, you no longer have to chase medical certificates. Your documentation is clean and you are able to provide information in audits.
For tax firms
Fewer queries, more reliabilities
Clients provide eAU information in a structured way. You can see the history and start payroll runs without having to follow up. Transfer takes place via the DATEV data services and lands in the familiar ecosystem.
Set-up in a nutshell
Ordering and permissions for the data services are handled centrally in MyDATEV. This ensures the standardized route into the payroll programs.
With the DATEV data services, we are extending Personizer with a secure connection to the DATEV ecosystem. The eAU retrieval already shows today how processes can run faster and more audit-proof. Next up are payroll import in the firm standard and two-way data exchange – for even more speed and clarity in HR and payroll.”

Next up in the DATEV data service
HR:FILES

Payroll export in firm standard coming soon
In Personizer you export master and transaction data as ASCII or CSV. Transfer takes place via the DATEV payroll import data service to the data center and is imported into LODAS and Lohn und Gehalt. This removes the need for reformatting and keeps the transfer to the firm transparent. This makes the import path into the DATEV payroll programs standardized and audit-proof.
HR:EXPORT

Payroll result data from DATEV coming soon
Personizer retrieves payroll result data directly from the DATEV payroll programs (LODAS/LuG). The data automatically ends up in the digital personnel file. You immediately get a complete view of salary developments and can make well-founded HR decisions. No more manual exports or reconciliations. Everything runs cleanly and transparently in the background. That saves time and creates clarity.
HR:EXCHANGE

Two-way exchange in development
In future, master and transaction data will flow in both directions between Personizer and the DATEV payroll programs. Changes to personnel data and variable values thus remain synchronized, double data maintenance decreases and reconciliations become faster. This noticeably improves data quality in the payroll run. Here too, approvals via MyDATEV form the basis. We will inform you as soon as the launch date has been set.
Your data in safe hands –

Frequently asked questions
What are the DATEV data services – and how does Personizer use them?
The DATEV data services connect Personizer directly with the DATEV data center. They are used to transfer HR data securely and in a standardized way – today, for example, when retrieving the eAU.
Soon, payroll import in the firm standard will follow, and later data exchange in both directions. This means information from Personizer will automatically flow into the DATEV payroll programs, without double maintenance or manual exports.
What can I already use today?
eAU retrieval directly from Personizer: The employer retrieves the electronic certificate of incapacity for work from the health insurance fund and the response is documented in the system. This procedure has been mandatory for employers since 01/01/2023.
Is the eAU valid in all cases?
Yes, for employees with statutory health insurance. For privately insured employees, the paper-based procedure still applies.
Sickness notifications for ill children are also not part of the eAU.
How do I connect Personizer with DATEV?
The technical connection is set up in Personizer under “DATEV data services”. On the firm / client side, the required services are ordered in MyDATEV and the permissions are granted — then retrieval and transfer can be used.
Do my firm’s processes need to change or do we need to use an API?
No. The current eAU retrieval runs without any additional development.
The next step will be standardized payroll import via the data service.
The bidirectional exchange (“hr:exchange”) is then the logical further development.
What does “data exchange in both directions” mean?
With the payroll data exchange service (hr:exchange), HR master data, client data and transaction data can in future be exchanged automatically between Personizer and the DATEV data center. This eliminates duplicate entries and coordination, and processes become much leaner.
Where are the data taken over and who is notified?
The data are taken over directly in the DATEV data center.
Personizer transfers the relevant HR data automatically and sends a notification once processing in the system has been completed successfully.
